LION 2 CLASS English Communication Sheet February 24, 2022 Lesson 2 * Progress: Engineering -- Materials Class Goal: Learn about materials and see if things "Float or Sink" English Code 1 Student's Book: P. 19 Dear Parents, Happy Friday! Yesterday's STEAM class was all about "Engineering" in STEAM! Students learned about 4 different materials that things are made of: Wood Plastic Metal Fabric They also did awesome experiments to see if things sink or float :) Of course, it would no fun if there were no DIY. Our students made a beautiful wooden sail boat that "floats" and they got to design and decorate their "sail". Good job kids! :) Below are today's CLASS HIGHLIGHTS: It's STEAM Time! Students first learned about the different materials from the book. Experiment Time: After students learned about the different materials, then it was time to drop the different objects in the water and see if they "sink or float"! :) DIY TIME: Our "Little Engineers" then designed their own "Wooden Boats" and added beautiful "sequins" to the boat! :) SPEAKING TIME: Of course, students got their chance to share what they learned in front of the camera! :) Good job!  :) Shella Raynus Olivia *** Below is the homework for this week *** 1) Make a video 1: Watch Teacher Jason's video Video Link: LESSON 2: NEW WORDS & SENTENCES Record your sweetheart reading the words and sentences. LION 2 CLASS English Communication Sheet February 22, 2022 Week 1 Progress: Student introduction Class Rule Introduction -- "The Golden Rule" Give books to students Simply Phonics 1 English Code Student's Book English Code Workbook Simply Phonics: P. 2-3 Dear Parents, Happy Tuesday. Hope you had a wonderful Winter Vacation with your family and friends. Below are today's CLASS HIGHLIGHTS: Today all the students were very happy and excited to join their new English class! Teacher Jason prepared many games and "First Day Presents" for the students. EVERYONE learned the names of their classmates :) EVERYONE learned the class rule -- "The Golden Rule" We reviewed the "English Alphabet" and listen and learn a new song called "ABC Chant 🎵 Songs for Kids 👫 " We played a fun "Pinball" game...and "Fast Cups" -- Students can learn about teamwork, following rules, hard work, etc. *** Below is the homework for this week *** Write your name (or stamp or stick the name sticker) on all the books.
